This is a literature review examining the barriers that older adults over 50 face when trying to access dementia care in the United States. Using peer-reviewed sources, I analyzed financial, structural, and racial disparities in care access for dementia patients and their families.

This is a group research project completed for my Fundamentals of Epidemiology course. My team replicated selected findings from a published study on the relationship between sleep patterns and obesity. We used R Studio to import the NHANES data sets used, and coded the methodology the official research paper reported with R. This paper records and interprets the statistical findings.

This is a group project completed for my Community Health course. Using a fictional patient case, my team assessed the medical, financial, emotional, and cultural needs of a 50-year-old Chinese American woman diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer and we identified real community resources to support her.

The technical manual is a project in which I and a partner created a manual called “A Woman’s Guide to Breast Cancer”. The manual is accessible and created with language the general public can understand to help women understand breast cancer. The project was aimed for both women who have been diagnosed and those looking to reduce their risk.
